Does Ina have a new house?

Does Ina Garten, the famous Barefoot Contessa of the Food Network, have a new house where all the 2008 episodes are being produced?

Clearly, something is up with the latest season of The Barefoot Contessa. The new kitchen where her cooking show is now being produced, has her signature white cabinets with black granite countertops, but the room and surroundings are all new. Is this a new home or a TV production studio? Additionally, at the beginning and end of each segment of the show, an exterior view of a different home is now shown.

Ina's home was/is located at 23 Buell Lane, East Hampton, NY. This home, a traditional two-story, shingle sided home, and has been the setting for the past 5 seasons of her now very famous Food TV show, The Barefoot Contessa. But now, it appears to have changed to a contemporary single story home.

The new season brings one other clue of a location change beyond the kitchen area and the exterior home shots. There has been one episode where Jeffrey enters the foyer of the "new home" (or studio) and greets Ina with his very sincere smile and kiss. They're so cute! But so far, no other interior areas have been seen.

But there are other mysteries. Ina, who has been known in the past to stroll in her garden to cut flowers for the table, has been seen this year strolling in the same garden at Buell Lane (her old home) while gathering flowers for a meal at the "new" home.

And then there's this one big question in my mind. In a recent episode (#IG1009), at the end of the show, Ina and Jeffrey are enjoying their meal on a terrace of what we might think was located at the new home. But look closely in the background. There's the Buell Lane home in the distance! This was shot on the patio outside her little potting/garden shed at the old home.

So what's up... did she buy a new home? Or, was she just forced to move her cooking production to a larger location. Maybe. I'm sure it's not fun having an entire film crew invade your home for periods at a time. Now, with the much larger kitchen (new home or production studio), she can work more easily. Or did the zoning laws and the neighbors force a change of location for her production and she continues to live at Buell lane?

What do you think?
